Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is comprised of the Clinical Service and Campus Assistance, Resource, and Education (CARE) teams. We are an interdisciplinary team of professionals that work collaboratively to meet the diverse mental health needs of a global student community. The goal of the Counseling Center is to provide students with clinical, educational and outreach-based services that benefit the mental health and well-being of all Jayhawks. Our services are primarily short-term in nature, and we make referrals to other helping professionals and community agencies as appropriate. Members of the counseling center are committed to:

Position SummaryThe Clinical Case Manager, working closely with the Assistant Director for Specialized Services, is a member of the CAPS team who provides clinical case management to assist students with connecting to off campus mental health care; provide triage and crisis assessment and intervention; develop and maintain partnerships with KU and community agencies to help students access services in the community and to enhance the Counseling Center’s visibility and referral sources.
This position also contributes to all of CAPS functional areas, including:
- Individual and group counseling of KU students/clients; psychological assessment;
- Development of and participation in outreach programming, including workshops
- Consultation with faculty, staff, parents, and others
- General administrative responsibilities
- Training and supervision of CAPS clinical trainees
- Other duties as assigned
