Counseling Services at the University of Nevada, Reno seeks a Case Manager holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work to join our collaborative multidisciplinary team advancing student mental health at a Carnegie R1 research university that serves a diverse student population of more than 24,000 students.
The center operates a same-day access and brief therapy model designed to reduce barriers to care and provide timely support for students experiencing mental health concerns. The case manager supports students in accessing mental health care and related services through care coordination, follow-up, and referrals to campus and community resources, under the supervision of the Licensed Clinical Case Manager.

Counseling Services hosts an APA-accredited doctoral internship and multidisciplinary training program including practicum and postdoctoral fellows. The center is accredited by the International Accreditation of Counseling Services (IACS) and emphasizes prevention, consultation, and early-intervention strategies to expand access to care.
The department also operates the innovative Great Basin Hall Counseling Services Annex, which expands access to services through outreach programming, consultation services, and campus partnerships. Counseling Services is part of the Division of Student Services and works closely with campus partners to support student success, retention, and wellbeing.
Counseling Services supports continuing education and professional development, including opportunities for training, conference participation, professional organization involvement, and related travel.

Position Responsibilities
Case Management
Provide case management services that connect students to appropriate on- and off-campus resources, including ongoing care coordination and follow-up to support continuity of care. Collaborate with Counseling Services clinicians and campus partners to address complex student needs while applying professional judgment in coordinating services and improving case management systems.
University and Community Clinical Resource Liaison
Serve as a liaison between Counseling Services, campus departments, and community providers to support coordinated referrals and resource access for students. Maintain knowledge of campus and community resources, document activities appropriately, respond to inquiries from the university community, and contribute to professional development and collaborative campus initiatives.
Typical Workload
Clinicians typically maintain approximately 22–24 case management hours per week, with the remainder of time devoted to community clinical resource liaison work, meetings, documentation, administrative time, and professional development.

$69,000 – $73,000
